How To Change A Sprinkler Head

Handy Andy with Handy Andy’s Handyman Sprinkler Repair we are your indoor and outdoor home and property improvement specialists always like to offer a handyman Tip of the Week. This week’s tip is going to be on replacing your sprinkler head nozzle. These are spring-loaded. So you always want to make sure you get a flathead screwdriver or something under there in order to pull it up. Once you get it up, you got to put your finger on it, make sure you hold the neck or it’ll just drop right back down on you, which can create a whole other problem. So what I’m doing is I’m unscrewing the head. I’m installing the new nozzle. And again, we don’t need to replace the whole head just the nozzle. There’s nothing wrong with the head. It just wasn’t spraying properly. And that happens over time. So these sprinkler nozzles, they all have dashes on them that maybe you can see right here. And you want to make sure that when you set your sprinkler head that the dashes are going the way you want the water to go. So again, these are your dashes and we’re right down The line here that it needs to be in so we’re in good shape here. I’m going to drop this down now and that’s your handyman Tip of the Week. Once again handy Andy with handy Andy’s handyman and sprinkler repair.
