Andy Carlin of A to Z Construction and Handyman Services#1 Handyman Tip of the Week: If your home is block with or without a stucco finish and you see cracking that looks like the outline of the blocks. Don’t wait! Caulk and paint! Do it sooner than later before water starts to seep inside if it hasn’t already and create all kinds of damage to any wood or drywall in that area.

Andy Carlin of A to Z Construction and Handyman Services#2 Handyman Tip of the Week: Do yourself a favor! Don’t paint your perforated aluminum/vinyl soffit at your home or office. This stuff is designed to keep your attic cooler. It comes from the factory either electro statically painted or infused with its color originally. When you paint you can easily clog the perforations, hindering the ventilation design it was originally intended for.

Lastly, using a clean dry towel, lay over newly cleaned area and set something heavy on top of the towel overnight. In the morning all make-up should be removed.

Andy Carlin of A to Z Construction and Handyman Services#7 Handy Man Tip of the Week: If you have an irrigation system with an electric timer and it offers you a seasonal adjustment setting, make sure it is always set to 100%. This option adjusts by % of time how long your zones will water for. When put to 50 it will water for 1/2 the scheduled time. If you put it to 0, it will only run for 0 minutes (hint, hint).
